The long one. Everything the shorter routes do separately, run as a single journey with the rest days built in rather than bolted on.
Where it goes
- Delhi. Two nights to arrive and adjust.
- Agra. The Taj, the Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri on the road.
- Jaipur. Amber, the City Palace, the bazaars.
- Bikaner and Jaisalmer. West into the Thar, and a night on the dunes.
- Jodhpur. Mehrangarh above the blue city.
- Udaipur. The lakes, and the days with nothing scheduled.
- Varanasi. East to the river, and the ghats at sunrise.
Good to know
Eighteen days is long enough that pace matters more than the list of places. There are three unscheduled days in this route and we would rather not lose them — but the order and the stops are yours to change.
