Two towns half an hour apart and entirely unalike — one a working shrine that never quite closes, the other a lake ringed with ghats and temples.
Day by day
- Day 1 — Jaipur. Arrive and settle in.
- Day 2 — Ajmer. West by road. The Dargah Sharif, Adhai Din ka Jhonpra, and Ana Sagar in the evening.
- Day 3 — Pushkar. The ghats early, the Brahma temple, and the bazaar through the afternoon.
- Day 4 — Return. Back to Jaipur, or onward to Jodhpur if you are continuing west.
Good to know
The Pushkar fair runs for a week around Kartik Purnima and the town is a different place during it. Book well ahead for those dates.
